Plus they kept on working hard in the hot sun all day long. And no matter how much they got mad they still did it.

We think the theme is honesty. During an election Lincoln declared, "As a nation we began to declare that all men are created equal. We now practically read it all men are created equal, except Negros." He spoke honestly. But he did not win the election. Because some people did not agree that slavery should stop. But his words got much attention. "PEOPLE FELT THAT HE SPOKE FROM HIS HEART!!!" Abe was serious about the words he spoke about how slavery should stop and why he should be president. He also said that also as a nation we should stop slavery and have freedom and do what we want. "A house divided against itself cannot stand on jealousy only on honesty." This message makes us think to act and say honesty. "If slavery is not wrong nothing is wrong. I cannot remember when I did not so think, and feel so."-Lincoln
